Why not arrive by steam, on board the Jacobite
Steam trains have been running to Mallaig for some 27 years. It is regarded as one of the Great Railway Journeys of the World and was voted Top Railway Journey in the World 2009 by Wanderlust Magazine.
The 84 mile round trip will take you past Britain’s highest mountain, deepest loch, shortest river and most westerly station. Along the way you will cross the world famous 21 arch concrete viaduct, featured in the Harry Potter films, stop in the village of Glenfinnan with its stunning views down Loch Shiel and pass the place where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his Standard in 1745.
It will without doubt be a truly memorable experience.
